Do you wax after getting a ceramic coating?

If you are referring to wax and not a ceramic topper, often in the spray form, then this is a big no no, unless you like spending unnecessary money. You definitely do not want to be waxing or using sealants over your ceramic for one primary reason. Waxes and sealants have a short lifespan of usually 3-6months and when they lose their effectiveness that naturally dull, but even worse, a residue will always be there until it is removed either via a wax remover or clay bar or polishing the car.

This residue will stack over time and make your paint look duller and duller. The problem here is most of these mentioned activities will most like mar the coating underneath or even potentially damage or remove it. If you are wanting to put something over your ceramic, make sure it is a clean pure Si02 ceramic spray topper. As a ceramic, it leaves clean, and when it stops being effective it simply breaks down and disappears meaning you don’t need to remove any old residue that will affect your shine. Plus the whole point of getting a ceramic is to not have to wax the car, so just save yourself the drama.
